  • Asthma

    We run specialised Asthma clinics in order to keep your asthma well controlled.  This involves appointments with the doctor, the nurse and allied health professionals.  The aim of these clinics is to identify triggers for your asthma, review your medications and make adjustments where necessary, education on the use of medication and how they work.  The nurses can also perform some tests to show you how your medications improve your breathing.  This is all part of the team apporach at Hill Medical Services to keep your asthma well controlled so it doesnt interfere with your daily activities.


  • LIFE! Program (run by PACE Health Management in association with Diabetes Victoria)

    Around 60% of type 2 diabetes cases can be prevented or delayed by making small changes to your lifestyle, including maintaining a healthy weight, eating well and being active.

    Over 52,000 Victorians have joined the Life! program and taken the first step to good health.The Life! program gives you the motivation and support needed to adopt healthy behaviours and a more active lifestyle.Life! is offered as a group course or telephone health coaching.

  • Mole Checks

    If you are unsure about any moles or blemishes on your skin, our team of doctors are able to take a closer look and advise you of any action that needs to be taken.  We also have a General Surgeon- Mr George Tadros at Hill Medical Services, who is able to see you (with a doctors referral) and either offer an opinion, take a biopsy or remove the skin lesion.  All these services are bulk-billed to patients with a valid Medicare card.


  • Diabetes

    Diabetes is a chronic disease with serious complications, currently affecting an estimated 1.7 million Australians.

    Over 100,000 Australian adults develop diabetes each year. Here at Hill Medical Services our team is focussed on ensuring  your diabetes is well controlled and patients who follow our program have seen improvements in their health and diabetes.  
    Our team looking after diabetes include: doctors, nurses, diabetes education, dietician, podiatrist and exercise physiologists.  All of these services are bulk-billed with an eligible health care card and an eligible plan in place.


  • Flu vaccine clinics

    During March-May each year we offer all of our patients  flu vaccinations.  We aim to keep our patients as healthy as possible- if you are not eligible for the Government vaccine it will only cost $10 for the flu vaccine.

    Patients must be a patient of Hill medical Services to receive the vaccination and must book in the dedicated flu clinic session.


  • Workplace Flu Vaccinations

    We can come and vaccinate your staff onsite within a 15km of our clinic.  A nurse and a doctor can come at a suitable time to you between Monday-Friday 9am-5pm.  Most workplaces prefer the lunch time, but we can cater to your schedule.

  • Pilates

    Pilates is a core conditioning exercise that focuses on the deep postural muscles of the hip, abdomen, lumbo-pelvis, trunk, spine and shoulder girdle to optimise body stability and posture. Pilates also connects mind and body together following eight sound principles:
    Concentration, Breathing, Centering, Precision, Isolation, Routine, Control, Flowing movement. (reference APPI)
     
     
     
    Clinical Pilates is an individually tailored treatment approach that is utilised in conjunction with other physiotherapy techniques. Clinical Pilates is designed to identify and address the origin of an injury, not just the injury itself.
    At Hill Medical Services this service is provided by the highly trained physiotherapist-Hamid in the field who provides:
    • Reduced pain and safe management of your injury
    • Correction of poor biomechanics that underlie injuries
    • Development of resistance threshold to injury
    • Stabilisation Exercises that assist your muscle groups to function safely and more efficiently
    • An overall feeling of  physical and mental well-being, with optimal posture, balance and motor control.
    Initial Assessment
    A 30 minute one-to-one initial Pilates session is required prior to commencing Clinical Pilates to ensure the Pilates concepts are thoroughly cemented.  A detailed and specific biomechanical assessment is conducted to assist with program formulation.

    One-On-One Sessions
    One-on-one functional rehabilitation with a physiotherapist on the Mat.
    The Physiotherapist who conducts your introductory session will inform you if one–to-one sessions are necessary as a precursor to Pilates studio sessions, Pilates classes or a rehabilitative gym program (sessions by appointment).

    Group classes
    Small groups of 4 people (maximum) supervised by physio Pilates instructor, Hamid. Exercises prescribed target specific needs of the individual based on the initial assessment findings and the current condition of the participant. Technique is constantly checked and meticulously corrected by the physiotherapist to ensure maximum benefits are gained.
     
    Studio Pilates is recommended for rehabilitation of spinal pain, peripheral injuries and pre or post-natal conditioning. Some participants will require a number of one-to-one sessions with the Physiotherapist prior to commencing studio sessions.
    Time : Approx 45 mins.
    FEE: 25.00 each
