Dr Fouad Dawood
Dr. Fouad Dawood graduated from Flinders University in 1995 and completed his internship and residency in Adelaide, South Australia. Dr Fouad worked in the Australian Army till 2000. Dr Fouad joined Hill Medical Services in 2001. He obtained his fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2001.
Fouad is passionate about teaching and sharing his knowledge with registrars and medical students. He provides excellent health care to his patients.
He has special interests in: skin cancer medicine, emergency medicine, chronic disease managment, youth health and general medicine.
Fouad works at Hill Medical Services Monday to Wednesdays, and is fluent in English and Arabic.
He also assists a few Obstetricians in surgery.
Dr Kishara Galappatthi
Hello! My name is Dr. Kishara Galappatthi, but you can call me Dr. Kish. I graduated with my medical degree from The University of Adelaide. I am originally from Sri Lanka, but I have completed all of my schooling and study in Australia, and grew up here. I have worked in South Australia and Victoria, both in hospitals and clinics, and have worked in regional and metropolitan locations. I enjoy and am confident in seeing all types of medical problems, and I have particularly experience and interests in chronic disease management, mental health problems, skin and dermatological problems, paediatrics (children's health), and men's health issues. In my spare time I like to stay up to date with my medical knowledge, but I am also a lover of sci-fi/fantasy books and movies, exploring the parks and trails in Victoria and particularly the Dandenong ranges, and playing board-games - often pulling my wife and friends into a nice long games session. I'd love to see you to help you out with any problems, so come down and let's have a chat.

Dr Tereza Ghaly
Dr. Tereza Ghaly graduated from AIN-Shams University in 1989. Dr Tereza completed her Master Degree in Dermatology. Dr. T Ghaly came to Australia in 1995 and passed her AMC in 1998. In 2000 she completed her Diploma in Obstetrics & Gynaecology and received her fellowship in 2003. Dr. Ghaly joined Hill Medical Services in August 2005.
Tereza is also involved in teaching the next generation of GPs and medical students.
She has special interests in antenatal care and dermatology with extra qualifications in these areas.
Tereza works everyday except Wednesdays and is fluent in English and Arabic
Dr Mary-Ann Boulos
Dr. Mary-Ann was born in Khartoum, Sudan, and moved to Perth, Australia with her family in 1998. She graduated from Notre Dame University with a Bachelor of Medicine and later earned a Diploma in Child Health. Dr. Mary-Ann joined Hill Medical Services as a registrar in 2016 and returned as a fellow in 2018. Fluent in Arabic, she brings valuable communication skills to her diverse patient base. With a strong passion for children’s health, she is dedicated to providing high-quality care for families. Her medical journey includes volunteering in various missions, where she has offered her expertise to underserved communities. Dr. Mary-Ann is committed to ensuring every patient receives compassionate and comprehensive care. Dr Mary-Ann works at HMS Monday-Friday. |
Dr Nina Chiang
Dr Nina graduated with her medical degree from Monash University in 2012, and has returned to Hill Medical Services after attaining her fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. She holds a Diploma of Child Health through the University of Westmead, as well as a Certificate in Reproductive and Sexual Health through Family Planning Alliance Australia. Prior to choosing a career in General Practice, Nina worked in various metropolitan hospitals throughout Melbourne, and has a broad range of experiences across the fields of general medicine, paediatric medicine, geriatric medicine and palliative care; managing patients from all walks of life. Nina enjoys all aspects of General Practice, with a particular interest in child and adolescent health, women’s health, sexual health (including Implanon insertion/removals) and travel medicine. She can speak conversational Mandarin and Cantonese. Outside of work, Nina enjoys travelling – especially hiking and spending time in the great outdoors, as well as down time doing yoga or reading a good book. Nina is on maternity leave |
Dr Carmen Yau
I graduated from Monash University in 2009 and completed further training at Monash Health before obtaining my fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2015. I enjoy working in General Practice for the variety of medicine, continuity of care and a its strong focus on preventative care. I have a particular interest in child and adolescent health having completed my Diploma of Child Health through the University of Westmead in 2014 and women's health. I am able to speak fluent Cantonese. When I'm not working, I enjoy cooking and spending time outdoors away from the hustle and bustle with my family. Carmen is at HMS on Mondays and Wednesdays and some Thursday afternoons. Carmen is usually in the front building. |
Dr Benjamin Liu
Dr Ben Liu graduated from Monash University in 2017 and completed his internship and residency with Monash Health. He has returned to Hill Medical Services after completing his GP training and obtaining his fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2023. Ben is interested in all areas of medicine, especially mental health, sexual health and preventative care. He has completed further training in Focused Psychological Strategies and is currently completing the Family Planning Alliance Australia Certificate in Reproductive and Sexual Health. Outside of work, Ben enjoys all things related to food and keeping abreast of current world events and pop culture. Ben does sessions at HMS on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. He is able to speak basic Cantonese. |
Dr David Lee
Dr David Lee graduated from Monash University in 2007. David has had a variety of training experiences in Melbourne hospitals including general medicine, infectious disease and endocrinology, prior to embarking on specialisation in general practice in 2013 and achieving fellowship in 2015.
He has particular interests in refugee health, adolescent health, travel medicine and chronic disease management.
David has a passion for teaching. He is a supervisor for medical students from both Melbourne University and Monash University. He is an accredited supervisor for training general practice registrars under the Royal College of General Practitioners.
Outside of medicine he enjoys spending time with his family. His hobbies include board games and snowboarding, though not at the same time.
David works Monday-Fridays, excluding Tuesdays.
Dr Meilun Ly
Dr Meilun Ly completed her medical degree at the University of Melbourne and spent a number of years working at Eastern and Monash Health. Her areas of interest include Women’s Health and Skin Cancer Medicine. Mei holds a Diploma of Obstetrics & Gynaecology as well as Certificate of Child. She has also completed both the Certificate of Dermoscopy and Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine. Mei is passionate about the detection, diagnosis and treatment of skin cancers and currently offers full skin check services.
In her spare time she enjoys working on different art/craft projects. Mei can speak conversational Cantonese, Mandarin and Vietnamese. Dr Mei has returned from maternity leave and is at HMS on Mondays, in the back building. |
Dr KIM TRAN
Kim graduated with a Doctor of Medicine from Deakin University in 2021. She completed her hospital training at Monash Health, gaining experience across general medicine, surgery, paediatrics, psychiatry and emergency medicine.
Kim enjoys all aspects of general practice, and looks forward to providing care for patients from all walks of life.
When she’s not at work, Kim enjoys crocheting, reformer Pilates and travelling. She can speak conversational Vietnamese.
Kim works at HMS Mondays-Fridays (excluding Wednesdays) in the back building.
Dr Nirali patel
Dr Nirali graduated from Charles Darwin University with a Bachelor of Clinical Science in 2016, followed by a Doctor of Medicine in 2020. Since then, she has done her internship and residency in various hospitals in the Northern Territory and regional Victoria.
Nirali is passionate about child and female health and the management of chronic diseases.
Outside of medicine, she enjoys spending time in nature, climbing and cooking.
Dr Nirali is at HMS Monday to Friday except Wednesdays, in the back building.
Dr Laura Caycedo Gonzalez
Dr. Laura Caycedo graduated with a degree in Medicine from Los Andes University in Colombia in 2015. She completed her internship and gained two years of hospital experience in Colombia before moving to Australia with her husband in 2018. Over the past four years, Dr. Laura has worked in various hospitals around Melbourne’s eastern suburbs, with rotations in a wide range of medical specialties, including Obstetrics, Gynaecology, Emergency Medicine, Psychiatry, and Paediatrics.
Laura has a broad interest in general practice, with a particular focus on acute medicine, children’s health, preventive medicine, women’s health, and geriatrics. Originally from Colombia, she is fluent in both English and Spanish.
Outside of work, Laura enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, and practicing yoga.
Laura sees patients at HMS on Tuesdays and Fridays, in the back building.
Dr FARAZ YUSUF
With over a decade of diverse clinical experience, I bring a comprehensive skill set and a commitment to patient-centered care that aligns with the values of Hill Medical Services. My six-year tenure as a Medical Registrar has equipped me with expertise across specialties, including geriatrics, general medicine, and emergency care. This diverse background has honed my abilities to manage complex acute and chronic conditions, lead interdisciplinary teams, and provide holistic care to a multicultural patient population. Additionally, my recent experience as a Senior Resident Medical Officer in the Emergency Department has enhanced my proficiency in acute care, procedural skills, and efficient decision-making under pressure.
Fluent in English, Hindi, and Urdu, I am well-positioned to communicate effectively with patients from varied linguistic and cultural backgrounds, fostering trust and improving health outcomes. As I transition into general practice, I am eager to leverage my clinical acumen, dedication, and passion for preventative health to contribute meaningfully to the well-being of the Noble Park community.
Faraz works at HMS Mondays-Fridays (excluding Wednesdays) in the front building.
Dr Sathya Thavendran
Sathya graduated from Monash University in 2020 with previous hospital experience including rotations in Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Addiction Medicine. She has also completed the Sydney Child Health Program in 2023.
Sathya is interested in all aspects of medicine. In her spare time, she enjoys experimenting with crochet projects and spending time with her family, which includes 5 chickens and one very cheeky cat. Said cat has been the victim of many crochet projects- often only wearing the item for a few seconds before scurrying away!
Sathya speaks English and is at HMS on Wednesdays (in the front building) and Fridays in the back building.
