February is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month
February is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness about a condition that is often called the “silent cancer” because symptoms can be vague and easily overlooked.
Ovarian cancer symptoms may include:
-
Persistent bloating or abdominal swelling
-
Pelvic or abdominal pain
-
Feeling full quickly or loss of appetite
-
Changes in bowel or bladder habits
-
Unexplained fatigue or weight changes
If these symptoms are new, persistent, or worsening, it’s important to see your GP. Early recognition and investigation can make a significant difference.
At Hill Medical Services, we encourage all women to listen to their bodies and seek medical advice if something doesn’t feel right. If you have concerns or a family history of ovarian or related cancers, please book an appointment with your doctor to discuss further assessment and support.
